The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it is alarmed with regards to the superior number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries SRD to access SASSA services.
“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area each day. The services point established for intervention activities a large influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
